Project Overview

Brighton Resort, part of Boyne Resorts, is a mountain ski resort located in Big Cottonwood Canyon near Salt Lake City, Utah. Established in 1947, Boyne Resorts operates 13 properties across North America. For their brand new Snake Creek Lodge, Brighton needed a full-service QSR kitchen and restroom unit seamlessly attached to a newly built dining area designed to host skiers.

Challenge

Boyne Resorts needed a QSR kitchen and restrooms installed in the mountains before the ski season — within a narrow construction window from May to September. The units had to withstand extreme cold, heavy snow loads, and connect seamlessly to an existing dining structure, all while aligning with Boyne Resorts' Net Zero sustainability objectives.

Solution

Modular Culinaire designed and manufactured a full-electric 640 sqft modular kitchen composed of two 40-foot modules with two service windows, plus a 320 sqft dual-gender ADA-compliant restroom unit. Manufactured in just 12 weeks and delivered before the season, the units were well-insulated to local code, equipped with Vulcan cooking equipment, and seamlessly integrated into the new ski lodge.
